This expansion is a major step towards supporting the development of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving technologies with highly accurate mapping solutions.
The company, which has already established itself in North America, Japan, and Korea, has now mapped over 270,000 kilometres of European motorways and trunk roads, delivering unparalleled precision for key map features with an accuracy of 15 cm. DMP’s comprehensive Europe-wide map covers countries including the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain, among others.

The HD map platform is crucial for the development of hands-free driving systems and supports Level 2+ ADAS functions, a level that allows for semi-autonomous driving with driver supervision. DMP’s advanced toolchain can accurately detect and map hundreds of physical and virtual road features, including lane markings, road signs, traffic control devices, and even more intricate details such as lane centre lines and virtual lane edges. These data points form a critical part of ensuring that vehicles can navigate roads autonomously with precision and safety.
