Bradford College has announced the extension of its partnership with Bradford City AFC for a fourth consecutive year. The renewed agreement sees the College continuing as one of the football club’s main partners and its official digital partner.

The College’s branding will remain visible on the club’s digital channels, including imagery and video content, as well as throughout the University of Bradford Stadium. This long-standing collaboration has resulted in numerous positive outcomes for both organisations, with mutual support driving success in various projects.

The partnership has been marked by key moments of cooperation over the years, including Bradford City AFC’s involvement in Bradford College’s annual Apprenticeship Games, a key event during National Apprenticeship Week. Additionally, the College was instrumental in the launch of the club’s app, a project which has benefited both students and the club’s digital presence.

One of the standout collaborations this year was the contribution of Bradford College students from BA Media Make-Up and BA Fashion programmes. These students played a vital role in the creation of Bradford City’s 2024/25 kits, providing styling, make-up, and extras for promotional videos filmed across two days. This real-world experience, showcased to a broad audience, offered students invaluable exposure while benefiting the club’s brand.

Nicky Betteridge, Bradford College’s Apprenticeships & Business Development Team Leader, shared the importance of this partnership in providing real-world opportunities for students. “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Bradford City AFC for another year,” he said. “This collaboration opens doors for our students, offering work experience across industries like sport, digital, and hospitality. It also allows us to share our messages with local employers and highlight upcoming training opportunities.”

Betteridge highlighted the achievements of the past year, including the student support for the club’s kit launches and the introduction of a new Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketer qualification in the College’s Apprenticeship department. This qualification, developed in collaboration with Bradford City’s Head of Marketing, is tailored to meet the needs of local employers and offers students further career prospects in digital marketing.

Bradford City AFC’s Chief Commercial Officer, Davide Longo, expressed his enthusiasm for the continued partnership. “We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with Bradford College into the fourth year,” he said. “The College has been fantastic since joining us in 2020, and their contributions, especially during the kit launches, were vital in delivering top-quality products.”

Longo also emphasised the importance of collaborating with key local businesses, stating, “Working together with major businesses across Bradford is essential for the ongoing growth of the City, and we are proud to continue this partnership. We look forward to further developments over the next year and beyond.”

This ongoing partnership between Bradford College and Bradford City AFC continues to strengthen the ties between education and industry, providing students with valuable skills and opportunities in the process.
